Love is a word not to be lightly taken
For love and lust can be too easily mistaken
Sit for a moment and take into consideration
How many people could be hurt by the words misrepresentation
The simplicity of the word yet the complexity of the emotion
Require faith, trust, encouragement, and devotion
Yet through the wrong eyes it is a means of self gradification
Instead of love it is a false infatuation
Love in itself is a whole other dimension
But not one of degredation and pretention
Love is meant to be a perfect and beautiful thing
Not just some meaningless fling
Simple things can send a relationship off course
Send a perfect love into bitter remorse
So do not rush into a relationship that is not meant to be
For years down the road you might see
That your love was really lust
And your chance at happiness now lies in the dust
