What I've Learned
What I've learned
is that hearts do break
And there's always more
that I can take
People make me angry
I've never been so mad,
then the day they're gone,
I can't help but feel sad.
I've learned my sarcasim
is a form of self defense
And that some things in life
may never make sense.
That decisions are always
hard for me to make
And sometimes my happiness
must be faked
I've learned to build walls
that I want someone to climb
A challenge to make sure
they want to be mine
I've learned everyone has problems
all of which I can't fix
And time doesn't stop
the clock always ticks
So much I've learned,
and yet I know,
After all I've learned
I still have so far to go.
