Dear Reality,

I'm so sorry if I came off like I was talking down to you. I understand that although much of the pain we go through as we live is common, there are still many things that set us apart. You're right I don't know your parents. But what I meant to say, and I speak from experience, is you could waste a lot of energy trying to please people in vain. What is important is that you are happy with your efforts and the rewards they bring you.
I'm also sorry that you feel slighted, and that the responses I've given to you weren't what you had hoped for. If you have work you would like to show me, send me an IM and I'll check it out. I am on-line quite often and I read nearly every new post. Occasionally I respond, not always. Sometimes I take a day or so to think about it, read the post again and search for it and respond. As for your posts, I read them. Sometimes I think you're so angry that you don't want a reply. I just think to myself, "She just needed to vent." and I let it go.
Not that it matters, but I don't come from privilege. I come from one of the poorest sections of Brooklyn, NY. I grew up with very little. My only joy came from reading and writing. Despite many years of trying, my parents never noticed me. I just came to realize one day that this was my life after all. I had to make myself happy first. That's what I meant in my reply to this post. I heard you, Reality.
