Life
what is life??
is life the ever changing events of the day??
Life
what is life??
is it the half way point between two more important things???
Life
what is life??
or is life just an eternal struggle??
A constant battle
at which the end of there is only hate and suffering
an untimely death full of pain and hurt
only to find out the just like a cd some one has hit the repeat button
to be amussed by the same relentless pain
yes thats it thats what life is...
for some of us any way

Joseph Campbell once said that people don't really want to know the meaning of life. He felt that we're all really searching for a feeling of being alive. You should look into his work. He was a marvelous storyteller and teacher of all the different religions and myths. I really liked your poem. It asked questions we all ask. A good poem is one to which all people can relate. -AJ  |

I really liked your poem Caged!It made me think and wonder if life with pain and suffering really could repeat itself or if happiness replaces it.

Ladies and gentle men Gooba is actually a friend of mine called sam he unlike the the rest of us doesn't take this site/forum seriously and I ask that while all comments made are accepted as viable response that sam's ignorant point of veiw is ignored personaly I take offence to his cheap shots at my poetry which often comes from the heart and is not to be toyed with thanks for your time

I believe the meaning of life is something we aren't suppose to know..it is what you believe... I believe the meaning of life even in bad times is to live your life, don't worry about what is going to happen when you die or worry about small petty things to open your eyes to the big picture... you are alive right now so live it....
Caged, I really enjoy the poem, it is beautiful... Don't let anyone dog on something you put your heart into... People who critize, not cause the poem is bad, because they are jealous of the talent you have and they don't... you are very talented... I will continue to read all your poems... Keep posting and I'll keep reading thats a promise

right on, poetgirl. Beautiful poem caged. I don't think people were supposed to know what life means. I think whatever god created us left that little bit of info blank just to see what we come up with. People got pretty creative trying to figure it out so basicly every answer you give is right. life is everything you know because life is you
