Broken fragments reveal pain filled dark melanin. I see you through our mother’s eyes. He is scared to death that nobody will ever see the better him. Too many promises revoked so he won’t let them in. Stained carpets peel back the layers of his strength within. Where did everyone go? Violence became his terrible medicine. So he takes the lives of people that look like him. One day he will lie next to that very stem. Not afraid to die but to live in the eyes of condemn. Looking at his son he cannot tell innocence. How can he ever tell him to be different?
