Broken Smile
A friendly smile
A helping hand
All their trust within this man
A warming shoulder
A smile or two
This man helps them get through
A gentle folk
He lends his hand
A sturdy stone becomes this man
This man they depend on
Has his own things to dwell on
But alas he can’t share
For he is but a kind man
Hidden beneath
The bruises and bleeds
He bottles it up
And smiles it through
This man all depend on
Needs someone too
More alone the more he helps
Stuck in his own creation
His kindness forms a knife
That sinks deeper into his heart
