It starts with something
Something small
A single comment
That meant no harm at all
Another one fires
Two, three, four
And suddenly a joke is no joke at all
A wall builds up
I’m fines
And haha’s
No one knows
The pain inside
Take the blows as they come
It’s a joke after all
It’s meant in fun
More blows hit
It’s harder to hide
You’re not ok
You’re not fine
There is still hope
Just speak your truth
And maybe just maybe
Those who shoot
Will stop and realise
You are perfect
