Just who is that Hank Williams?
I do not recall the name,
Though in my anthology,
He had shown up yesterday.
Several poems I've penned,
About that poet you see,
Surprised the hell out of me,
He's gone from my memory.
I checked my anthology,
And Hank Williams' name I found,
I voiced it repeatedly,
It still sounded strange to me.
What else have I forgotten,
There's is no way I can say,
As those thoughts that escaped me,
Have travelled light years away.
I asked me, "Was it a stroke?"
That tossed my thoughts away,
I choose not to believe it,
Though gone from my matter gray.
