Why don't ya join me
I am going on a journey, to take all this hate away
I'll sail it write into the ocean
And leave it there to stay
We can call in there some other time
But lets leave it for today
So, why don't ya come and join me
Coz, I am going on a journey, to take you there forever
We'll leave a letter at the door
And go down to the river's floor
We'll tell em that we ain't so poor
Just got unlucky with the time no more
Fore hate is what there livin' for
But we ain't got to love no war
So, Why don't ya
Yeah, Why don't ya
Why don't ya come and join me
I'll leave ya by the river
No need to ever wonder
If the life we left behind us
Was better than what's after
And as we fill our lungs with water
Just remember that you ain't nobodies daughter
We left that town so long ago
And, now we are children of the river
Can you stare me in the eyes
As the love between us dies
They will fill our story up with lies
But society just does that
They ain't got no answers to our cries Coz, they've only got their lies

Wow! Some of the best work I have read here. This belongs in a Cohen song! Its a bit disorganised and the rhyme scheme is inconsistent, but I think that's what I love about it. What are everyone else's thoughts?
