Here I sit
Alone at my desk
End of my wits
Hole in my chest

Prayed for peace
Mostly it's here
At times hit my knees
And shed a few tears

I'm stronger now
A mess no more
Still don't know how
To myself not abhor

A balancing act
This path that I chose
True love to lack
But a dad to those

Love them I do
And so I have stayed
I hope that soon
All pain will fade
