It is true that the head and the heart are not one and the same. Hard to believe that after so much longing for what you eventually gave to me I grow tired of what I thought I had wanted. No longer do I need the constant reassurance. The heat in my fingertips has surely cooled.
I feel troubled when I realize I am not happy for you when you are happy. But if you are the truest friend That fact must make me the selfish one.
I analyze our friendship Not by us as a pair. I analyze our friendship By the effect it has on me alone.

Hopefully I'm reading it right, but the first stanza seems very interesting to me. Slightly reminds me of my own situation.
