I think you should add as opposed to deletion. you never know, it might end up a 'magnum opus'.

I rarely ever delete works entirely. It's just that some I may too meaningful or meaningless, and I may then delete them from the public domain. I always keep them saved somewhere, usually as separate works, though I recently started a collective.
