My name starts with an E, so for now please call me by that.
I thirst for your affection,
For if I don't embrace your warmth I feel neglected and hollow like a bag of skin and bones left for the attention of maggots,
bottom feeders that eat away at your rotting flesh.
Feed my monstrous flames so that I can indulge in your fascination for me.
Mislead by my false charisma your stomach growls,
while my blazing flames rise above all the highest empires.
Feed me with a golden spoon,
I am too high to stand level headed beside you,
throw up my pride and turn the other way,
beseech me to look at you and get on your bruised up knees,
I stand above you.
Dig your nails into the foot of my throne and scream my name.
Arrogance is for those who are not as great as I am,
it is not a word that exists in my world when I have you crawling on your knees.
You are the one that fills me up,
Everything that I say and do is your new religion,
I am your god.
I am that great because you think I am.
Without you I have no power but with you I raise an empire of flames that feed off of your hunger.
A holocaust within.
A cycle that can only end with your neglect, but you require me.
