did i ever tell you
tell you what trust is to me

well

i start every friendship with trust
that trust is strong
that trust is hard to break
and that trust
has only two chances

the first is hard to break
but the second
could be a single slip up

sorry to say
my trust in you
is broken twice

the first a simple message
that continued into the night
the second a simple phrase
that was painful on my behalf

i never want to see you again
but yet i do
you are still a friend
only i don't trust you
