I stare at each item in the room, and imagine that the air is solid and the objects shaped holes. I don’t blink before my sight is dry and everything is shining and glowing beneath my gaze. I wonder if I am dead. The phone rings. Tones like little insects bite my ears; force me to awaken from my thoughts. Hallo, I say, my voice deep and strange, leaning out of my mouth like a bended old three. Hi, the voice in the phone slaps my face like a hand of icy, cold water, It’s the world calling Yellie, is she home? For a second I am not sure what to say, then I smile. No, she is not… But she is coming back soon.

This reminds me of when I retreat to my little dream world that I sometimes visit.......just for peace of mind, or to enjoy my own company and thoughts......this poem made me think of that....and how annoying it is when I get pulled away from it unexpectedly......and your ending to this was absolutely perfect!!!!
I loved this.....thank you so much Yellie.
Sincerely
Alexia
