People in the real world hurt. People in the real world sting. I have found this. Through experience. Trying to apply school rules and maths formulas to real life (RL) has absolutely no effect. If life were a sport, RL would be a completely different ball game. RL is rough, tough, painful and there are no allowances for women, different races, age differences or non-English speaking people. RL is cruel, vicious and persistent
Of course, there are some good bits. When you find them, savour and cherish them because they are rare and beautiful moments.
Boyfriends are NOT classified as good moments. Most relationships end up with at least one party being hurt, and left tearful and probably angry. A quote I found once: “Relationships are like broken mirrors. It’s better to leave them broken than hurt yourself trying to put them back together.”
So often, couples departed try to rekindle what they had, when love has well and truly moved on. If a mirror is broken, replace it.
Seeking reverence in friends , colleagues, religion or family is often a great help. Managing pain on your own can be more harmful than good. Distributing the burden over a few people will end up with a much happier person.
RL is unforgiving, ruthless and carefree.
It doesn’t care if you’re black, white, Asian or European. RL will treat you all with the same backhanded techniques.
The punches will fall in different places on each person, but the punches all come from the same place initially.
If you can beat the source of the punches, you can understand RL and achieve great things. If you can’t, you’re stuffed.
Isn't life such a great cliche'?
