He is a good man-
the very best man-
in every sense of the word,
and I am twisting
within the knowledge
that I can never be

He is that strong
and proud provider;
chivalry circa nineteen-fifty,
and my brittle, little body
can't achieve

such a well articulated sense of sorrow in this poem. i like the lilting rhythm, it creates an interesting cadence which drives the whole thing onwards.
