get up every Monday morning thinking
not another week of school
drag myself out of bed
walk down the hall with a thud
scavenge through the fridge for milk
crawl into the cupboard for cereal
weet-bix usually
pretty ordinary
eat it quickly so it's over and done with
strip off for a shower
put on the same old school uniform
i've had since i can't remember
pack my bag
forget my lunch
and leave home with a bang
it's my Monday morning ritual
