The moment's gone, it's already passed me by But please just say you'll stay Cuz all the years I've wasted on my dreams Just now got thrown away Feeling like an orphan, a name I'll never know Waiting for someone that never came The same old song is playing on a broken stereo I'm the only one to take the blame Scars are lasting pictures of the pain They tell us who we are I tried to lose myself and went insane Forever's not so far Lost inside my past and there's nothing to believe Forgetting why I left my memory Giving up a heart no one's looking to recieve No one can escape their history.

This poem is very good. It reminds me of one I wrote . Sorry, that sounded kind of self-centered, but it does remind me of my poem "Moment."

It is good, it reminds me of that song name by the goo goo dolls. Do you know the one I'm talking about? It's my favorite song in the world and this poem is so much like it. I know all the words, I'll show you what I mean. And even though the moment's passed me by I still can't turn away Cuz all the dreams you thought you'd never lose Tossed along the way Letters that you never meant to send Lost or thrown away And now we're grown up orphans that never knew their names You don't belong to no one that's a shame But you can hide beside me maybe for a while And I won't tell no one your name Scars are souviners The past is never far Did you lose yourself somewhere out there Did you get to be a star Grew up way too fast and now there's nothing to believe Reruns all become out history A tired song keeps playing on a tired radio And I won't tell no one your name
Maybe I'm crazy but that's what I get out of it. It's a beautiful poem. You should write more
