Is this really me

Here I stand in front of you
the mirror of my childhood
the blue frame has gone
and is painted with black

the pictures stuck there
are now faded or gone
what happened to me
this happy little boy

The home has changed
it's broken and torn
just like the mirror
infront of which I stand

the reflection of me
is shattered in pain
this is the real me
all black and slain

a splintered image of me
is what I see here
that is the real me
not this shell I'm in now
