Lord, what happened to the mind that you gave us all
I think some of us need to click to install.
I pray for the young mother who gives birth
That she realizes the joy she’s spit out upon this earth
That with her life she’ll always protect this tiny bundle
That it will never be found in dumpsters, on doorsteps or thereunder
That it will never be found broken, battered or turning blue.
Show her Lord that you don’t need her help bringing the baby home to you.
Dear Lord the Children are in need
The young mother may be alone, frightened, or on drugs,
She may be on the run and police may even have her mug
You said you would never leave us not forsake us
Even though you didn’t Rap it or Hip Hop it
I believe it because You said it.
Your word is still the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
Disobeying your word always leads to sorrow.
Dear Lord the Children are in need
They need loving, caring, someone who will feed
Them physically and spiritually
Dear Lord, help that mother see, help that mother be
The kind of Mother that you pre-destined her to be.
And help that Mother see that she still has you
If only she will believe.
