Her care and sacrifices are above all other.
Mother is your hook-up in this world
She loves you no matter what boomerangs you hurl
When you’re down and out.
Mother is always about.
When you’ve hit a plateau
Mother is as close as the door.
When your boss lays you off and your friends are cross
Mother somehow makes it easier to accept your loss.
When the landlord is looming
And the car dealer is glooming
Mother understands
And with an open heart and a helping hand
Won’t let you flop
Won’t let you stop
Until you’re back on your feet again.
