Sweet Memory

Television blasting.
Vacuum blaring.
Children whining.
Husband calling.
Head spinning.
Frustration building.
Children screaming Mommy, Mommy.
Rib cage ready to erupt.
I spin around to yell.
And see her tender smile.
Heart softening as she whispers,
"I love you Mommy."
Sitting down beside her,
I whisper "I love you" back.
In that one moment it took,
To say those 3 little words.
A wonderful gift was returned to me.
This sweet , sweet memory.
Take the time to say "I love you."
