She lay down calmly in her room. Eyes swelled with unshed tears of gloom. Grasping at the distant memories, Life’s love, destroyed by enemies.
Yet, in her hour of deep despair With only darkness everywhere, And moonlight spreading it’s wondrous rays. She remembered those wonderful days.
With sunken heart and drowning hopes Her misery made it hard to cope. And yet, within her aching heart, She knew they could not stay apart.
Life’s blooming love had changed them both. Erased the strain of painful ghosts. Their need for love was more than most. Transparent to some, yet to them so close.
On this thought her eyes slowly closed. Waiting until that moment froze. Where once again they could cherish The love they missed the most.
