She sits here all alone this night,
Waiting for his love.
A love she knows will never come.
For in his heart there’s none.
With a heart that’s heavy,
And a mind that’s so confused.
Her soul is sad and scared
Just knowing love’s not there.
Their paths have crossed this one last time,
Goodbyes not yet been shared.
But in her heart she knows full well,
This story now must end.
Capturing her courage,
For what she now must do.
She hangs her head as tears fall.
To bid her last farewell.
But in her heart she’ll carry,
Tender memories they made.
Throughout the years of waiting
For the love that they once shared.
