She sits reminiscing about long ago days. Her childhood dancing before her. Wondering where the time has flown, And how she got to now.
Sweet memories unfold before her. Never tarnished by the bad. Her distant gaze beyond the meadowed lands, As she smiles from within.
Soft voices sing the memories, She's cherished over time. She savours every one of them, For this is what remains.
Attempts to read what the future holds, Are blinded by her fears. And painful sorrows fill her soul, For that which could have been.

It was a time in my life where there wasn't much else...Thankfully I've come to terms with that and I've been able to redirect my writing to other things. Your comment was appreciated though.
