There I was, just going on my merry way,
living my life from day to day.
The worst thing that happened from time to time
was someone committing some dumb, petty crime.
There I was, just going along, thinking
I was the ultimate, oh son strong.
Once in a while I would get a cold.
I'd take some medicine and think, 'Ha, this is so old!'
There I was, just doing fine one day,
and then something happened and what could I say?
My whole world got flipped upside down.
I was thrown in a bottomless pool and left there to drown.
There I was and now here I am, living a life interrupted.
