I look at you and see
something I finally did right
you may not know it
but you're perfect in my sight
of all you have accomplished
I'm so Godly proud
Can't seem to contain it
need to shout it out loud
over the years I've expected a lot from you
I was'nt being unfair
just really confident
in what you could do
as this chapter
of your adult life begins
stay true to yourself
to the pressure don't give in
you're smart, intelligent, beautiful and brave
don't forget what I taught and always behave
trust in God and him alone
he'll keep you safe until you return home
no matter what
I'll always love you
I'll listen to your problems
