Some people say his is different. But he smiles and laughs. Has his own way of viewing the world. Some say it is sad. But he is full of joy and happiness. He loves playing and spending time alone. Bring smiles to all he meets. I watch him from afar curious and wanting to learn. He is so full of love. His smile can lighten up a room. His eyes are like sun shine. He dose not see his self as being different at all. He is just a boy. His innocence we should learn from. His love we should share. For he is so precious, kind and gentle. If you could only spend a little time with him you would see how special a person like him can ;D be.

This is a poem about my 11 year old next door neighbor that has Downs. His is a very sweet little boy. And a great play mate for my girls.

I used to teach art to children with Downs Syndrome and they are sweet. Their parents would often remark that they were disappointed when they learned their children would be disabled, but later discovered the rewards and unconditional love from these special children outweighed their grief. Thank you for reminding me.

Jimmy reminds me of peter pan. the boy that will never grow up. I think how special he is. It would be great not to grow up. His mom said the one thing she prayed for was little boy that would not grow up to fast. I love to see them together and her love for him.
