F ills my senses with joyful color,
My heart with gentleness,
My soul with understanding,
My life with attentiveness.
L ow this simple man
When you are not around,
For without your guiding light,
Love can not be found.
O nly moments spent with you,
Can fill my heart with joy,
For all the rest are lamented,
As a child’s missing toy.
W ishful dreams and fantasy,
Fill this lonely heart,
In attempts to keep you near,
When we are far apart.
E nvision with me if you will,
The day that we will touch.
The day for which these moments
Will mean so very much.
R emember I am waiting
As a flower in the night,
For all the warmth and tenderness,
Brought by Your Love’s light.

What a delightful poem!
How did this come about? Did you notice the first letter of each stanza as you were writing or did you set out to write it this way?
Very talented to have so much going on and keep it together.

It was written and given as a gift for Debbie. I had to come up with some way to make one flower special.

Hey I was able to see the flower and the poem from the florist shop. Too bad you weren't there, it was really very pretty, you should thank the florist, she did a great job. Debbie was proud as a peacock, she had it on the ocunter where everyone could see it, she cried all day.

Very Sweet!
It's like an acrostic poem
but instead of every line starting
with the letter of the word
it's the beginning line to each
stanza!
Awesome!
It was so tender too!
I bet she had the best flower ever!
Way to go!

I have been gone for a while, way too long, but I am glad I found my way back here. This poem was part of the beginning of a new life for Debbie and I, last week Debbie died and this poem made me cry with Love.
