The Rain
Rain slowly falls
Covering my body,Caressing my soul
Washing away the pain and tears
I feel its comfort
Like an old friend
Long remembered
Like a mist
It covers all my sight
And for a moment
The world seems
A little less harsh
A little less dark
And the rain kisses my face
Covers my smile
It is my friend
And speaks
To my deepest fears
It gently washes my spirit
And sends me on my way.
