The real me

When you look at me what do you see?
Do you see the guy that is truly me?
Do you like what you see?
Do you know me?
If you took the time you would soon realize
The boy you see isn't really me
It is the guard I put up to hide the real me
Afraid that if you know who I am
You'd turn your back on me
I'll keep my guard up
It will forever protect me
And you may never see the real me

i reallly liked this poem but however i think that it could use just alittle bit of work.
