I woke one early morning
The earth lay cool and still
then suddenly a tiny bird
perched on my window sill
He sang a song so lovely
so carefree so gay
That slowly my troubles
Began to slip away
He sang of far off places
of laughter and of fun
It seemed his very trilling
brought up the morning sun
I stirred beneath the covers
crept slowly out of bed
then gently shut the window,
and crushed his stupid head
(Don't worry, this is not a true story)

i really loved the poem... whether its yours or not that doesnt change anything... but altho i think i have read this before or something simular to it... either way its a really good poem... keep posting i like the imagery in all your work!
