I wish I could be less like me
To be stronger than I used to be
To not have to go through the pain anymore
My body is still sore
To know what true happiness is
Like everyone else does
To know love
So I can have someone to think of

I wish I could forget my past
To try and find peace at last
To forget the hate
And start with a new slate
Forget the beatings
And find a new meaning
Forget the blood and tears
And wash away all my fears

I wish I could start all over again
Then no longer will I be in vein
