Why can't I get you out of my head?
You just started as some dumb crush,
and now you take up my entire life.
When I look up at the stars,
I see your beauty in them.
When I hear a funny joke,
I hear your adorable laugh.
When I hear a sad story,
I hear your heartbreaking cry!
No matter where I go or what I say,
I can't get rid of you.
I tell myself it will be fine,
But then I see you with him,
And the depression starts all over again.
What makes it worse is how you treat me.
You will talk and laugh with me one minute,
Then shut me out of your life the next.
