Screams, tears and fears She cowers in her room Wishing the darkness would swallow her and be done with it. Always felt like the lowest of the low Unloved by those who mattered most Confused and scared, She doesn’t dare to hope. All she ever wanted was love. She got everything but that. Slamming doors and stomping feet Screaming parents Trying to make ends meet But how can ends meet If they’re facing opposite ways? Always second guessing, Underestimated, and hurt Filled with so much hatred, But look, she’s still around. She’ll chase down her demons And make her place in the world She’ll work a miracle But that’s easier said than done And with that her happy little daydream breaks Back to her dismal and ominous reality For memories never fade.
