we went yearly
to the land of promise
Lakes mirrored blue of watered glass
Trees covered in snow; yet forever green-
fires ablaze to warm winter's edge

Oh my my my! Lovely! "Up North"!! Those family vacations to the North Woods were the highlight of my childhood. Thank you for bringing back such a happy memory. You are truly a gift to my life with your words!
